2017 MARCHING BAND CAMP INFORMATION


We look forward to seeing your 2016 Greyhound Marching Band Member at band camp this summer!  It’s a time to build band fellowships, learn the parade dance, start on the half time show, and prepare music for the entire season.  Students work very hard this whole week and have a lot of fun too! 

Camp Registration Day!!  April 18, 2017
Come register your band member for the 2017-2018 marching season at this important event.  For the seasoned member, this is a quick and easy day of filling out the forms.  For current 8th graders, it is a moment to find out more about the high school band program.  This will be held in the High School Library at 7:00 pm.  This is an open event, so stop by at any time during the event to fill out your forms and get any additional information you need.

  • Fill out camp forms
  • Request cabin assignments
  • Important rehearsal and camp dates
  • How to offset the cost of Marching Fees
  • How to schedule for Band in the High School
  • Meet the High School Director
  • And more
At this event, we will also be taking the initial payment $50.

If your family needs assistance, you can fill out a Marching Fees Financial Aid Request.  These requests are kept confidential and will be decided by          .  The band boosters will reach out to each of the parents/guardians to confirm any assistance and the amount.  The financial aid has ranged from $50 to $300 per band member.  The amount is dependent on the individual need and available funds.


Band Camp
When:
Sunday, July 16th – Saturday, July 22nd.  
  • Directors and upperclassmen in student leadership leave on Saturday, July 16th.  
  • All other band students (including freshmen) leave Sunday morning, July 17th from the High School band room. 
No transportation will be provided back to Eaton Rapids following the Saturday morning performance.  If you can not attend the Saturday morning performance, you must make arrangements for your student to return to Eaton Rapids.

2017 Marching Band Fees are $300 per student.  This fee includes costs for band camp and contributes towards uniform cleaning and upkeep, Instructor costs, transportation, and other marching band support.  

Payment Schedule:  
$  50   April 18, 2017 (Non-refundable)
$100   May 1, 2017  (Non-refundable)
$ 75    June 1, 2017
$ 75    July 1, 2017 - No refunds will be issued after July 1st.

PayPal:  We are taking payment via all major credit cards.  Please note that all transactions include a 3% + $0.30 service fee charge.














Saturday (July 22, 11 a.m.) Morning Performance for Families and Friends:  Come and watch our 2017 Greyhound Marching Band’s first performance on Saturday morning.  You will be amazed at what has been accomplished in this one week.  No transportation will be provided back to Eaton Rapids following the Saturday morning performance.  If you can not attend the Saturday morning performance, you must make arrangements for your student to return to Eaton Rapids. 




Evening Pre-Camp Rehearsals – High School Band Room:  

July 10th 5:30 - 7:30 pm - leaders and new members only

July 11 – July 13  5:30 pm - 7:30 pm - everyone
